Part V Translation Directions: Translate the following passage into Chinese and put your translation on the ANSWERSHEET.
第61题简答 No one gets out Of this world alive, and few people come through life without at least one serious illness. If we are given a serious diagnosis, it is useful to fry to remain free of panic and depression. Panic can constrict the blood vessels and impose an additional burden on the heart. Depression, as medical researchers all the way back to Galen have observed, can set the stage for other illnesses or intensify existing ones. It is no surprise that so many patients who learn that they have cancer or heart disease or any other catastrophic disease become worse at the time of diagnosis. The moment they have a label to attach to their symptoms the illness deepens.
Part Ⅵ Writing
第62题简答 Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a composition on the topic "An In-creasing Number of People are Studying for Master Degrees". You should write in no less than 1 O0words, and base your composition on the outline given in Chinese below:
1. 越来越多的人在读硕士学位;
2.其中的原因;
3.你个人的看法。
参考答案:Need A Master Degree or Not Nowadays, most people want to enter graduate school. In fact, this desire has grown considerably in the past few years. Students struggle to pass the graduate school entrance exam, to survive the program, and find a job at the end of it. They read many exam preparation books. They may also attend special "exam preparation" seminars and courses. There are some reasons for such phenomenon.
First is the general perception that a graduate school diploma, a master' s degree, is needed for getting a better job. Second is that some students might not be sure what they want to do, and a few more years inside the courtyards of academic seems desirable.
In my opinion, this is not reasonable. I don't deny that a few passed and went on, but the majority failed and finally wiped away their valuable times. So we don' t have to study for the master degree. Never forget the old saying: every road leads to Rome!
