We have heard that a chemical works is to be built near our school.
Most of the students at our school, including me, are against the construction. Although the works will make a lot of money for our city,we think it will do us more harm than good. The drinking water will be badly polluted so that it is far from safe,and the air will be polluted,too. We will never be able to breathe fresh air again. How will we be able to live here comfortably any longer? Last but not least, the site for the chemical works is the only place where we can play games and do sports after school. Where would we go if it were occupied? In short, we are strongly against the building of the chemical works.
